This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made with a beautiful dyed Spalted Quilted Maple with Yellow Cedar ferrule.

Medium sized, it is suited for a 195-210 Japanese knives. It’s fairly heavy so it will work on some 240s. 

Weight: 52g, Length: 131.6mm (5.125")

Handle is sanded to 800 grit then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Handwash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer like tru-oil as needed.
