This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives

The body is made with Double-dyed Yellow Cedar with reconstituted gemstone and copper spacers.

Medium/large sized, it is suited for 240 and some 270 Japanese knives. 

Weight: 61g, Length: 143.4mm (5.65")

Handle is sanded to 600 grit and then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Hand wash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher or soak in water for long periods of time.
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer like tru-oil as needed.
