This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is made with a Curly Ash with an amethyst inlay and dyed Spalted Maple. Spacer is reconstituted pyrite. 

Medium sized, it is suited for a 240mm Japanese knives. 

Weight: 42g, Length: 139.8mm (5.1")

Handle is sanded to 800 grit then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

  • Hand wash with soapy water and towel dry.
  • Do not put in dishwasher, nor soak in water for long periods of time.
  • Oil on a fairly regular basis, or sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer such as tru-oil as needed.
